Cell phones betray us when we least expect them to – I know all that argument about people living perfectly normal lives in the non-cell-phone era, but let’s reserve that topic for another time, shall we? In today’s age of 2G and 3G being available at dirt cheap prices, phone batteries die out faster. I’m sure we’ve all been in situations when we’ve gone around person to person hoping feverishly they would somehow have a compatible charger. Or, how about forgetting keys or phone or important items at home and only realizing the mistake when you just cannot go back to collect them? Like always, let me tell you which are my personal favorites among them and why. I like the Solar Powered bag because in addition to charging a phone anytime and anywhere it actually does its bit for the environment. Then comes the Marilyn Light Bag – this bag a hidden GPS devise that can be used to trace the bag if stolen or lost. The fact that the GPS device is hidden helps to prevent the miscreant from attempting to remove it. That it is trendy in a combination of blue denim and brown trims further helps its case.
Wine lovers may take a liking to the bag that has a special compartment to hold bottles. Fact of the matter is – technology is invading our lives in unprecedented ways. For women, integration with handbags, that’s almost third skin (after clothes) to most of us, seems the obvious way forward.
