Bag of the Week

Bag of the Week – For that nip in the air

Steve Madden

We are at a seasonal cusp – its already warmer in some places, though evenings still have that nip. This week’s look caters to this weather where you do not need to add too many layers yet keep yourself cozy. I spotted this mustard top from Guess at MajorBrands. The shredded detailing interested me. The antique gold leggings add bling to the outfit. The overall color scheme is mustard and dark brown, with the Steve Madden bag and Allen Solly ballerinas both conforming. The monotony is broken by a pop of blue in the jewelry, both from Myntra. The bag can be handheld as well worn cross-body.

Steve Madden Bag

Bag: Steve Madden, INR 4199
Top: Guess, MajorBrands, INR 2200
Leggings: Jabong, INR 419
Earrings: Myntra, 590
Necklace: Myntra, 3400
Ballerinas: Allen Solly, Myntra, INR 1709

Style Tips: The antique gold leggings can be replaced by black jeans or leggings. Ditto for the footwear; even nude pumps will be an excellent alternative. There are endless options in jewelry and you can continue the monotone or add other pops of color – like Oxblood or Marsala, which also happens to be the color of this year. You can go for black/brown smoky eyes and stick to nude lips to avoid going too overboard.

Mother to three lovely boys and wife of a banking professional, I am extremely passionate about a host of topics, bags being one of them. For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
