Bag of the Week: A Valentine’s Day Look

The countdown had already started and we are just a whisker away from the D-day. If you are like me, your shopping for the occasion would still be undone. The cynosure for this week’s look is this BCBG Max Azria gold toned clutch with whipstitch trim in deep red and large tasseled zip pull in the same color. I like the textured body that adds just the right amount of bling to the outfit without making it look like a disco ball. Also, this kind of tasseled zip pull is something I am seeing quite often these days and I quite like it for now. Apart from the bag, the other highlight is the buttoned down shirt style dress in oxblood. It gives you an instantly and effortlessly stylish look. The best part is it is super affordable at just INR 2499 from PepperCloset. Continuing with the golden theme on accessories, I have chosen the belt, earrings, watch and pumps from this color family. Maroon pumps go equally well, if you wish to reduce the amount of gold. Hope you enjoy the look!

BCBG Max Azria Look

Clutch: PoshFusion, INR 9240
Dress: PepperCloset, INR 2499
Earrings: Voylla, INR 999
Watch: Amazon, INR 1224
Belt: Myntra, INR 349

Style Tips: For a hands-free experience, replace the clutch with a cross-body. Add a charms bracelet for a more lady-like effect. If it is still cold at your place, you could put on ankle length boots. For the Valentine’s Day night out, makeup should be a little bold, especially the lip color. You’d find a perfect match from the recently launched L’oreal Pure Reds collection. Do top it up with some gloss and shine through the night!

For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
