Review: Casual Bags From AllMine

AllMine Casual Bags

August has been dismal is terms of the number of posts going up on the blog, thanks to ill health brought on by seasonal changes. However, the silver lining has been that I’ve taken loads of rest and spent more time with my boys than is usually possible.

So here I am, energized, raring to go and with this review on bags by AllMine.

In brief about the brand: AllMine came into being due to the efforts of Neha Ghuliani towards creating trendy, eco-friendly bags. The bags come in bright, happy colors and trendy silhouettes, thus having a youthful appeal. You can follow them on their Facebook page or on their website.

I got three bags for the review – a shoulder bag, a sling bag cum large pouch and a backpack. These are from their SS’15 collection called MishMash. The shoulder bag being in neon orange, would perk up outfits that are otherwise monotonous or dull. Such as this black and white kurta I pair it up with here. While it was not planned, I noticed only while putting up the post that the geometrical patterns on the bag and the outfit complement each other well!

The red sling bag, also with patch work, is a handy little bag that you can just grab for quick errands. The detachable strap lets you carry it as a pouch.

I couldn’t style the backpack due to lack of time that day and then one thing or the other kept hindering the styling session. So finally I decided to put up the pictures of the bag by itself. As I’m sure you’d agree, the colorful patch work and the shoe-lace design put up an attractive facade.

Now for the critical review points. AllMine has an arsenal full of worthy bags, as mentioned before – trendy and alluring. The cost is reasonable as well – they are usually below INR 2,000. Picking the right colors and juxtaposing them with perfect contrasts is their strong point. If you check their website and FB page, the sheer diversity really impresses upon you. However, there are a couple of points I wish the brand works upon – there ought to be more compartments for better organization within and for easy access outside. The handles of the shoulder bag and the sling bag could be softer; I found them a bit too stiff. Barring these points, their commitment towards the environment is commendable and their design prowess makes me look forward to their new launches.
