LoveToBag’s handbags and clutches are fit for a princess. The materials used are the finest quality luxurious satin and silk, intricately embellished and embroidered. For the more adventurous, there is also leather, don’t worry! These clutches remind me of the International brand Kotur, that also makes spectacular minaudieres. Glad to have our very own, home grown LoveToBag!

This venture is the brainchild of talented designer Ayushi Kanoi, who is an alumni of NIFT, Delhi. This institute seems to be a fertile ground of promising entrepreneurs (as we have seen their alumni conceptualize Murcia handbags and also a few more start-ups that I would be covering soon on these pages). The seed of fascination with embroidery was sowed during her childhood when she spent hours watching the karigars at her mother’s workspace. The driving theme behind Ayushi’s bags is fusion, combining Indian handicraft and contemporary designs, as a result appealing to the modern day independent woman. It tries to cater to her every mood and myriad dreams. They are a perfect gift option during the festive and wedding seasons, or simply when you need to pamper yourself!

Her complete collection is available exclusively at Pernia’s pop-up shop. Usage of such regal materials and skilled embroidery techniques, such as Zardosi, does push up costs by a few notches, but then royalty never comes cheap! In addition, all hardware for her bags is imported. LovetoBag has already found a name among the countries top designers, with its accessories having featured in the prestigious Bridal Asia, Araaish exhibition and Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. Having been launched as recently as in 2011, that’s a quick sprint to the top! I present here a quick glimpse of what her much-sought-after collection beholds. I am sure you can’t resist a purchase or two!

About the author

Vidya Gupta

Mother to three lovely boys and wife of a banking professional, I am extremely passionate about a host of topics, bags being one of them. For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
