Zubiya

There’s a lot of hidden talent out there. Exploring, discovering and then showcasing on BagsLounge is so much a matter of pride for me. I stumbled upon Zubiya perchance and their customized goods with handpainting instantly cast a spell on me. Zubiya is a young brand, being formally launched in January 2013. It’s not just bags, they paint on shoes, wallets, clutches as well.

The lady behind this venture is Priyanka Gusain. Though coming from a commerce background, she was drawn to painting naturally and mastered the art without any formal training. To bring her art to consumers, she chose an innovative route, of transposing them to bags and shoes, which are some of the everyday essentials for any woman. She believes in conveying small messages/stories through her drawings which she says makes the product even more appealing. The designs first come to life with water proof acrylic paint and are then set with a coat of lacquer that forms a protective film. So you can rest assured that the paintings are water proof and durable. The costs are very much affordable – the wallets are usually below INR 2,000. The larger bags could get expensive depending on the size and intricacy of the design.

Zubiya Wallets

If you have some ideas and designs of your own but are unsure how to bring them to reality, Zubiya is the place to start. With Priyanka’s knowledge and expertise, you can give wings to your creative side as well. The options are limitless when it comes to customizing; the strokes of the brush and colors of the paint await to be dictated by your wildest, wackiest or cutest imagination!
