The Leather Boutique AW ’14 Launch

The Leather Boutique

Autumn is upon in a few days. The just concluded Lakme Fashion Week Festive Winter ’14 was one reminder of the impending change in season, while the press release from TLB about their AW’14 launch sitting pretty in my inbox was another. I was as excited going through it as a little girl is at the sight of a Barbie doll! More so for the reason that TLB is one of my favorite home-grown brands.

What also got me excited is that they have brought forth the versatility of leather by including some cool leather jackets in the collection apart from bags. A leather jacket never fails to make a statement and gets the wearer instant attention. Team it with a well crafted bag and you have a winning combination at hand. Those who swear by TLB’s bags know that the quality of leather can be taken for granted coming as it is from someone with over 25 years of experience in leather handling.

The bags stick to the tried and trusted color palette of blacks, browns and tans with some colorful ones like orange and red in between. They are in the price range of INR 5,000 to INR 10,000, while the jackets are from INR 7,000 to INR 15,000. Check out the detailed press release and pictures below.

Bangalore, 25th August 2014: TLB is inspired by nature and simplicity. This is a brand that uses the finest of leathers and functional design to revive the forgotten art of leather crafting.

The Leather Boutique is set to launch its Autumn/Winter14 collection of leather jackets and accessories in last week of August. TLB’s endeavor with this campaign is to bring awareness of the versatility of leather jackets to the Indian market.

“With our range of styles and colours we are setting out to illustrate how leather jackets can fit all occasions – at a Bbq, an evening out or even the office. It’s no longer something that one pulls out of the closet only on the eve of a trip abroad. Leather’s now at home in India too. Leather jackets can be a perfect compliment to an ensemble, and can and should figure in our every day attire.” Jayanti Bhattacharya TLB – Marketing and Communications.

The Leather Boutique takes the forefront in changing the commonly accepted idea that leather jackets are predominantly Western luxury wear. We give you the never before explored concept that leather jackets are adaptable. They can embellish and enhance your every look. All you need is a little imagination.

“A leather jacket is very versatile and can be worn on most occasions – it can be worn with jeans or trousers depending on the cut and style. Like a good suit, a classy leather jacket is essential to any mans wardrobe.” Says Zeshan Rahaman, Founder – The leather Boutique.

Mother to three lovely boys and wife of a banking professional, I am extremely passionate about a host of topics, bags being one of them. For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog. Needless to say, any suggestions for improvement, even healthy criticisms, are highly encouraged. Hope you enjoy your stay here and find something useful to help you on your next bag purchase!
