We did a ‘new bag styles’ post a few days back. But there are more styles debuting, as can be seen from the new-arrivals section of fashion houses. As we know, Reed Krakoff made an exit from Coach last year after being at the helm as a creative director but continues in the capacity of an adviser till mid this year, when his contract expires. Hence, it is to be expected that his style reflects in the new Bleecker collection in some measure.
Coach describes the new collection as “sharp and chic with a downtown edge”. The debutant styles are the Bleecker Riley Carryall, Bleecker Cooper Satchel, Bleecker Sling Bag, Bleecker Pinnacle Carryall and Bleecker Pinnacle Crossbody. An interesting feature is the mix of pebbled and smooth leather “creating striking textural contrast”. Most of the bags are easy on the budget barring those in luxurious embossed crocodile leather. There is a wide color palette to choose from as well, ranging from soft pastels to the brighter shades. We are eyeing the Mini Riley Carryall, Pinnacle Carryall and the sling bag that looks like a hobo at first glance, but has a structured and sleek appearance.
