Review: Baggit Laptop Backpack Flash Molymilitary Green

Baggit Molymilitary Green

The best part of having a blog on bags – you come across a whole host of bags that would otherwise be limited, exploring only when you have a need. When the 21st Century Romance Collection was out, I had checked out close to 20 bags at the Inorbit Baggit store in Bangalore! Trust me – each bag outdoes the other and you really can’t make up your mind at the end of it all. Thankfully, that day my purpose was to only review!

The Flash Molymilitary Green backpack comes very close to my ideal definition of a laptop bag. It has intelligent aesthetics, making it fit with equal ease in an official as well as a casual setting. The military green lends it a subdued character but the hint of deep orange peeking from the laser cut detail on the front pocket adds that pop of color. At 17”X17”X5” it is a large bag that can comfortably accommodate a laptop, a bottle, stationery and money wallet, eliminating the need to carry a handbag. The synthetic leather gives it an almost leather-like appearance.

Let’s deep dive into its storage capabilities.

The backpack has a slanted flap opening at the top with a zip closure. This is a welcome change from the regular side-to-side opening of backpacks. There is one large central compartment that also has a padded laptop section. The external front pocket has multiple slots and pouches to keep the smaller items organized. At the sides are two long zipped compartments, one of which is meant for a bottle. Now this is where the brilliance of design shines through. The bottle compartment also has a slanted flap with zipped closure for easy access. The highlight is the pocket doesn’t jut out from the silhouette of the bag; instead its space is made within the structure, concealing the bottle out of external view.

Overall a fantastic bag but I’d have liked an external zipped pocket at the back, to carry a small money wallet, for security purposes. Ever since I lost my wallet at The Louvre, Paris, (it was cleverly taken out from the central section of the backpack) I’ve become cautious about storing financial items securely, as a backpack is out of view when carried. The Molymilitary Green costs INR 2,700; a tad on the higher side, but a purchase that won’t let you down.
