Review: Hidesign Bag Stella 03

My regular weekend escapade to the mall brought me face to face with Stella 03. It was another love at first sight (I think it’s the same story with most of the bags I come across!).

Stella 03 is a bag with a flap and twist-lock. The color combination is rather unique – red bag with blue trims and gold metal hardware. The length of the handle is long enough to prevent the bag from slipping often and short enough to access the contents easily. It is rather spacious at a height of 29cm, width of 36cm and depth of 8cm. Another aspect I particularly liked is the new Hidesign monogram dangler tag that carries the brand name in letters arranged haphazardly.

This is a welcome change from the inscription on wood.

Coming to the inside, it has one main section, with an inner zip and two pouched sections. These pouches are rather spacious spanning almost the breadth of the bag. Ditto for the zippered section.

There is a zippered section at the back of the bag too, having an impressive length. It is spaced quite low to accommodate for the handle trims.

The cost is slightly on the higher side at INR 6,695 but one can frequently find offers on sites such as Myntra.com, that currently has a 25% discount (above purchases worth INR 1,499). The only thing I miss is pockets on the front, openings to which could have been easily concealed under the flap, in order to retain the plain façade. Alternately, they could also have been visibly arranged on either side of the blue vertical trim, with thin zips.

I tried this out at the Phoenix Market City mall, Bangalore.

For the record, the others are - makeup, travel, photography, in no particular order. Here I share my perspective on the Indian as well as the international bag-scene. As a youngster I would spend most of my money on bags and carry one according to my outfit. It is this love that I express through this blog.
