With each collection Hidesign launches, it ups the ante even more. We have come to love the brand for its genuine leather, skilled craftsmanship spanning over 3 decades, its collaboration with various artists, the way it has made a mark on the international scene and above all its highly functional and sophisticated bags. So let’s see what’s new. Well, there are new styles to begin with, and new fittings, of which I found the enamel locks most interesting. The colors are inspired by Nature, though they are not new. There are quite a few styles for men as well. The price range is at par with other Hidesign bags. The Earley range is what caught my attention – the royal blue enamel locks against saturated hues of blue and black, with golden hardware create a stunning effect. My next recommendation would be the 109 range – textured croc with the quintessential handbag design. I also love Connaught 03 for its crisp, sweet look. We also get to see dual toned leather in use here which is very much in vogue these days.

The raised print croco leather of ‘Savoy’ is unique, and the boxy construction with an over-sized lock is just the sophisticated look you need. Spring/Summer also features sleek designs for men featuring handcrafted combination leather, sharp use of brass hardware and spacious interiors. The range enhances the dynamism, passion and rugged appeal of the Hidesign man. Influenced by the 60’s retro college style, the handcrafted ‘Alfred’ range is a gorgeous men’s despatch bag in a structured shape that is easy to carry. The beautiful glossy leather of the ‘Salvador’ city bag showcases sophisticated styling. ‘Riley’, a classic briefcase acquires a contemporary edge with the contrast leather. Wonderfully durable and light, it is perfect for your day about town!
The collection is created from an interesting variety of leathers such as oil-rich two toned, burnished, natural grained veg-tans and embossed fashion leathers.
