Review: Lavie Cannes-1 2C SM Leather Satchel

Lavie Cannes SM Leather Satchel

Lavie’s leather bags are luxurious and wide in range. Hence, when I needed to purchase a bag for my Mom’s birthday, I first visited their store to check out their offerings in leather. I liked what I saw – varied styles in fast moving colors with utility packed in. I was looking for a wide bag with multiple compartments to help my Mom keep her stuff organized, at the same time ease of access, a dark color and a comfortable handle length. The Cannes SM Satchel fit the bill perfectly.

The satchel is well endowed both externally and within. On the front are two zipped pouches as can be seen in the above picture. On the back are two open pouches:

In addition, it has two central zipped compartments. The first has two wall pouches while the other has a wall zipped pocket.

The handles are flat leather and easy on the shoulders. I was clear to steer off rolled handles. The texture of the leather is soft and supple. Also, the zip pulls are long which further helps in frequent operation. The dark color ensures my Mom needn’t worry too much about staining and blemishes. The inner lining is the regular Lavie beige fabric bearing the brand’s name. The hardware appears to be brass and goes well with the dark brown exterior. Altogether, a great package that my Mom was delighted to receive. It cost me INR 4,830 but I knew I was paying for genuine leather and trusted craftsmanship from Lavie. All their leather products come with a one year warranty. Now my Mom is so fascinated by its luxurious appeal that she says she will reserve it for special occasions only, lest the daily wear and tear takes a toll on it! 🙂 Well, that’s up to her, but as far as I am concerned, I have renewed my membership of the Lavie fanclub!
